Rear Knuckle Alignment Link: Service and Repair
Installation
SUSPENSION: TOE CONTROL LINK: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart See: Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/Standard Bolt -
Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.
1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Insert the toe adjust cam from the rear of the vehicle and connect the toe control link. Then temporarily install the No. 2 suspension toe adjust
plate with the nut.
NOTE:
Align the matchmarks of the No. 2 suspension toe adjust plate and suspension member.
(b) Temporarily install the toe control arm with the new nut to the axle carrier.
2. TIGHTEN TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Tighten the 2 nuts.
Torque: 60 Nm (612 kgf-cm, 44 ft-lbf)for suspension member side
Torque: 118 Nm (1203 kgf-cm, 87 ft-lbf)for axle carrier side
3. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR LH See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel Speed
Sensor/Service and Repair/Rear Speed Sensor/Installation
4. INSTALL LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET See: Sensors and Switches - Suspension/Ride Height Sensor/Service and
Repair/Height Control Sensor (for Rear LH)/Installation
5. STABILIZE SUSPENSION
(a) Stabilize the suspension (W/O Air Suspension) See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear
Shock Absorber/Installation.
(b) Stabilize the suspension (W/ Air Suspension) See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear
Shock Absorber (W/ Air Suspension)/Installation.
6. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 104 ft-lbf)
7. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM (W/ Air Suspension)
(a) Check the suspension control system See: Adjustments.
8. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment See: Alignment/Service and Repair/Rear Wheel Alignment.
9. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Check the speed sensor signal See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Test Mode Procedure.
10. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Adjust the headlight See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Adjustments.
