(a) Disconnect the r3 curtain switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the r1 power seat module switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK CURTAIN SWITCH (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the curtain switch with a new or normally functioning one See: Body and Frame/Seats/Seat Heater Switch/Service and
Repair/Seat Climate Control Switch (for Rear Side)/Removal.
(b) Check that the rear sunshade can be raised and lowered by using the curtain switch.
OK:
Rear sunshade can be raised and lowered with curtain switch
Result
C -- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH
B -- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH
A -- END (CURTAIN SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.
