Front and Rear Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade

DESCRIPTION

A rear sunshade switch signal is sent from the front switch (No. 2 console switch) to the outer mirror switch through LIN communication. The outer
mirror then sends the signal to the rear junction block ECU through CAN communication, and the rear sunshade operates. For the rear switch (curtain
switch), a rear sunshade signal is sent from the rear power seat module switch to the rear junction block ECU, and the rear sunshade operates.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

(a) Clear the DTCs See: Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Rear Sunshade System.
(b) Check for DTCs See: Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Rear Sunshade System.

Result

C -- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the shade raises/lowers.
