Standard voltage:

NG --  REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK RAIN SENSOR (BATTERY VOLTAGE AND GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the X8 sensor connector.

(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG --  REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. REPLACE RAIN SENSOR

(a) Temporarily replace the rain sensor with a new or normally functioning one    See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches - Wiper and

Washer Systems/Rain Sensor/Service and Repair/Removal.

5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LIN COMMUNICATION)

(a) Using the Techstream, read the "Data List".
