(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.
(b) Set the master cylinder push rod clevis in place, insert the push rod pin from outside of the vehicle and then install a new clip.

3. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Install the spring between the pedal and steering column as shown in the illustration.

4. CONNECT CONNECTORS

(a) Connect the stop light switch connector and then attach the wire harness clamp.
(b) Connect the brake pedal stroke sensor connector.

10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the instrument panel safety pad See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Installation.

11. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service Switch/Service and

Repair/Installation

12. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service Switch
