REMOVAL
HINT: When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.
1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
4. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)
(a) Disconnect the oil control valve connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.
5. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)
(a) Disconnect the oil control valve connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.
Installation
2UR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
HINT: When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.
1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)
(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring, and install it to the oil control valve.
(b) Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the oil control valve (connecting surface with cylinder head cover).
