SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart  See: Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/Standard Bolt -
Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

NOTE: When installing the retractor, make sure the vehicle's claws (labeled "a" in the illustration) only contact the installation areas of the
retractor.

(a) Align the vehicle's claws with the seat belt retractor positioning holes.
(b) Install the seat belt with the 2 bolts.

HINT: First install the bolt A, and then install bolt B.

for bolt A - Torque: 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)
for bolt B - Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 in-lbf)

(c) Connect the pretensioner connector labeled A, as shown in the illustration.
(d) Connect the tension reducer connector labeled B.
(e) w/ Pre-collision System:

Connect the pre-collision connector labeled C.

(f) Install the shoulder anchor to the shoulder belt anchor adjuster with the nut.

Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)
