Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Service and Repair
Installation

THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

(b) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

(c) Connect the connector.

(d) Install the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) with the 2 bolts and hood lock nut.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(e) Install a new hood lock nut cap.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER   See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Hood/Hood Latch Release Cable/Service

3. INSTALL LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY   See: Lighting and Horns/Horn/Service and Repair/Low Pitched Horn/Installation

4. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY   

5. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Hood/Hood Latch Release Cable/Service and

Repair/Installation

6. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)   See: Sensors and Switches -

Accessories and Optional Equipment/Distance Sensor/Service and Repair/Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

8. INSTALL HOOD CENTER CUSHION   See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
