Refer to Fig. 3 when replacing brake pads.
1. Remove wheel.
2. Remove the bottom caliper bolt, and turn caliper up as in Fig. 5.
3. Remove following parts:

a. Two anti-squeal springs.
b. Two brake pads.
c. Four anti-squeal shims.
d. Two pad wear indicators.
e. Four pad support plates.

4. On models with four piston calipers, install new pad support plates.
5. On all models, install pads as follows:

a. Install wear indicators on pads.
b. Apply disc brake grease to both anti-squeal shim. Then install shims on each pad.
c. Install pads with wear indicators facing downward.
d. Install anti-squeal springs.

6. Remove small amount of brake fluid from reservoir.
7. On models with four piston calipers, place a wooden plate on pistons, and press pistons in with hammer handle or equivalent.
8. On models with single piston calipers, use hammer handle or equivalent to push piston in.
9. On all models, install calipers and bolts. Torque bolts to 25 ft. lbs.

Install wheel, torque wheel lug nuts to 76 ft. lbs.

Check that fluid is at Max line.
