Key Interlock Solenoid Inspection
KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID INSPECTION
CAUTION:

Water or foreign objects entering the connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to drop water or foreign objects on the
connector when disconnecting it.

Do not damage the terminals.
1. Disconnect the key interlock solenoid connector.
a. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
b. Remove the column cover. See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Steering Column Cover/Service and Repair
c. Disconnect the key interlock solenoid connector.
2. Verify the resistance between key interlock solenoid terminals A and B.

If there is any malfunction, replace the steering lock. See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Steering
