Shift Interlock: Testing and Inspection
Shift-Lock Solenoid Inspection
SHIFT-LOCK SOLENOID INSPECTION
CAUTION:
-
Water or foreign objects entering the connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to drop water or foreign objects on the
connector when disconnecting it.

Do not damage the terminals.
1. Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
a. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
b. Remove the rear console. (See See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear

c. Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
2. According to the table, measure the voltage between selector lever component terminals and body GND.

If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the related wiring harness.

If there is no malfunction, replace the selector lever component. See: Shifter A/T/Service and Repair
