Air Door Actuator / Motor: Testing and Inspection
Air Mix Actuator

Air Mix Actuator

1. Remove the air mix actuator installation screws and air mix actuator.
2. Leave the vehicle harness connected.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4. Cycle the air mix lever from HOT or COLD.
5. Verify that the actuator operates as shown.

Ohmmeter Connection

Reference

1. Disconnect the air mix actuator connector.
2. Connect battery positive voltage to terminals G and H of the air mix actuator and check the actuator operation.
3. If not as specified, replace the air mix actuator.

4. If correct, compare the measurement resistance to the characteristics shown in the figure.
5. If not as specified, replace the air mix actuator.
