Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
CRANKSHAFT FRONT OIL SEAL REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. Remove the timing belt outer cover.
2. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
3. Remove the timing belt.See: Timing Components/Timing Belt
4. Remove the crankshaft sprocket from the crankshaft and remove the crankshaft key.
5. Install Front Cover Seal Remover Special Service Tool (SST) 49 UN01 080 to the seal.
Note:

When positioning (SST) 49 UN01 080, make sure the jaws are gripping the thin edge of the seal tightly before operating the jack screw portion
of the tool.

Use Driver Handle SST 49 0223 630B with SST 49 UN01 080.
6. Remove and discard the seal.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
