Hood Latch Release: Service and Repair

NOTE:  The hood lock release handle and cable are replaced as an assembly.

1. Remove the hood lock.

2. Unclip the hood lock control handle and cable from the inner fender retainer and splash shield.
3. Remove the two screws and position the hood lock release handle and cable aside.
4. Remove the hood lock control and cable grommet (1) from the dash panel.
5. Remove the hood lock control handle and cable (2).
6. Install in reverse order of removal.
