1. Clean the sealing surfaces.

2. Apply a bead of silicone in two places where the engine front cover meets the cylinder block and in two places where the rear main bearing cap

meets the engine front cover.

3. Position the oil pan and install the bolts. 

1) Tighten the bolts in five steps: 
2) Tighten the four corner bolts.

Tightening torque: 10 - 14 Nm (89 - 123 ft. lbs.).

3) Tighten the remaining bolts.

Tightening torque: 10 - 14 Nm (89 - 123 ft. lbs.).

4) Tighten the four corner bolts.

Tightening torque: 10 - 14 Nm (89 - 123 ft. lbs.).

5) Loosen all bolts one turn. 

6) Tighten all bolts.

Tightening torque: 10 - 14 Nm (89 - 123 ft. lbs.).
