Cylinder Head Gasket: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the lower intake manifold; refer to Lower Intake Manifold Removal/Installation.
3. Remove the A/C compressor; refer to Refrigerant System.
4. Remove the generator; refer to Charging System.
5. Remove the power steering pump; refer to Steering.
6. Remove the generator mounting bracket.
7. Remove the too bolts from the rear A/C compressor mounting bracket.
8. Remove the bolts and remove the A/C compressor mounting bracket.
9. Raise the vehicle on a hoist; refer to General Information.
10. Remove the exhaust manifolds; refer to Right Hand Exhaust Manifold Removal/Installation and Left Hand Exhaust Manifold
Removal/Installation.
11. Remove the bolts.
