11. Preload the torsion bar.
(1) Install SST 204-185 and the adapters, then tighten the torsion bar tool until the new adjustment bolt and nut can be installed.
(2) Turn the adjustment bolt until the preliminary preset depth mark is achieved.
CAUTION: The torsion bar adjustment bolt is coated with dry adhesive, and must be replaced if it is backed off or removed. Failure to do so can
cause the adjustment bolt to loosen up during operation and a loss of vehicle alignment.
12. Remove the torsion bar tool and the adapters.
13. Install the torsion bar cover plate.
(1) Position the cover plate.
(2) Install the mounting bolts.
14. Install the wheel hub, refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
15. Lower the vehicle.
16. Perform the wheel-end vacuum leak test. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
17. Check the ride height.
18. Check the alignment.
