Steering Gear Mounting Structural View
(1) Refer to image for correct orientation.
(2) The dished side of the washer faces downward.
CAUTION: Hold the tops of the steering gear to cross member stud bolts to avoid damaging the steering gear fluid transfer tubes.
9. Install the nuts.
10. Unlock the steering column.
(1) Lower the vehicle.
(2) Turn the ignition key to the unlock position.
(3) Raise the vehicle.
CAUTION: Do not rotate the steering wheel when the lower steering column shaft is disconnected or damage to the air bag sliding contact will
result.
