Remove transfer case output flange; see Workshop Manual.

5.

Wipe the output shaft splines with a clean shop cloth (use Brake Cleaner Solvent or other suitable solvent).

6.

Install the modified transfer case output flange using SST 205A95. Then install spacer, washer, and flange nut.

Tightening torque
339-380 N.m (250-280 ft-lbf).

Note 

The flange nut has a self locking feature and must be replaced during installation.

7.

Using a paint pencil/pen, write the current date and this Service Bulletin's number on the output flange.

8.

Install the propeller shaft assembly and tighten nuts. See Workshop Manual for additional information.

Tightening torque
94-123 N.m (70-95 ft-lbf)

Note 

Future service of transfer case rear output flange will require the use of a Damper Remover Tool for disassembly.

9.

Verify repair.
