About the B4000
The B4000 is the 4.0-litre V6 version of Mazda's B-Series pickup. From 1994 to 2010 the North American B-Series was a rebadged Ford Ranger, so the B4000 used the same 4.0 V6 as the Ranger and Explorer.

- 1994–2000: the 4.0-litre OHV V6.
- 2001–2005: the 4.0-litre SOHC V6, which replaced the overhead-valve engine for 2001.
