Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Disassembly/Assembly
Front
1.
With caliper removed from vehicle, remove piston, snap ring, dust seal, piston seal, cap and screw, as required.
2.
When removing piston from caliper, place a suitable piece of wood into caliper assembly.
3.
Blow compressed air through the flexible hose connection hole to force piston out of caliper assembly. Apply air pressure gradually to prevent
piston from jumping out.

When overhauling caliper assembly, refer to Fig. 12. When assembling caliper assembly, reverse numerical disassembly sequence.
