Remove core plug with a 19 mm (3/4") Allenhead driver (Figure 4).
NOTE:
The core plug is located approximately in the center on the left side of the engine block (Figure 4).

Install block heater into engine block with a new aluminum seal ring supplied in kit. Torque to 70 N-m (52 lb. ft.) using a 46 mm (1-13/16")
socket. (Figure 5).

Attach power cable to block heater and route over to left fender skirt and fasten cable with plastic straps to suitable supports and to wire harness
next to diagnostic socket (Figure 6).
9.
Close radiator drain, check coolant for sufficient antifreeze protection, refill cooling system and. pressure test for leaks.
10.
Reinstall air flow sensor housing and check throttle linkages for ease of movement.
11.
Reconnect battery cable, run engine with defroster on, check for coolant or fuel leaks. Check for proper heater operation and coolant level.
