FIGURE 1 - RADIATOR DRAIN HOSE (FRONT ENCAPSULATION PANEL REMOVED FOR CLARITY)

1.

Disconnect battery negative cable.

2.

Slide a hose (12 mm I.D., 1500 mm long) through the hole (on right side, next to drain valve) in the encapsulation panel (Figure 1), attach to
the radiator drain outlet and drain coolant into container for reuse.

NOTE:

The drain valve is accessible through the towing eye flap at the right, below the bumper (Figure 2, arrow).

Raise the vehicle on lift and remove the rear encapsulation panel, below the engine compartment.

Remove the rear core plug (6, Figure 3) from the right side of the engine (behind exhaust manifold) with a 22 mm sixpoint socket.

5.

Install block heater into engine block with new O-ring supplied in kit. Torque to 70 N-m (52 lb. ft.) using a 46 mm (1-13/16") socket.
