If the initial control pressure is at the upper tolerance limit, adjust the pressure to the lower tolerance level by carefully tapping post (1) into the
housing. This applies additional pressure on spring
(72) via the bimetallic spring (74) and the cold start control pressure is lowered (Figure 7).
CAUTION! If post (1) is tapped in too far (control pressure below limit), the enrichment compensator has to be replaced and warranty is voided.

Check the pressure during the warmup period, which should amount to 3.4 bar within 2-4 minutes, with an electrical consumers switched off and a
minimum battery voltage of 12 V.
NOTE:
The control pressure should not exceed 3.8 bar gauge pressure at engine operating temperature.
11.
Continue to run engine to check for coolant and fuel leaks.
12.
Install air filter.
