Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair
Booster Removal & Installation

If power brake booster is damaged or inoperative, replace it with a new power brake booster. The brake booster is serviced only as an assembly,
including the check valve.

Adjustment of push rod and replacement of power brake booster check valve (2365) are the only services permitted on brake booster.

Booster/Master/Brake Pedal

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect manifold vacuum hose from power brake booster check valve.
3. Unclip air cleaner cover and position air cleaner cover assembly out of the way.
4. Disconnect speed control actuator retaining nuts, and position speed control actuator and cable out of way.
5. Disconnect brake fluid level sensor connector from brake master cylinder reservoir.
