16. If the rear bench seat does not slide smoothly, adjust the LH rear seat track side-to-side position.
NOTE: Adjust the LH rear seat track assembly only.
17. Install all of the remaining rear seat track bolts.
18. From front to rear, tighten the rear seat track bolts to 34-46 Nm (26-33 Lb Ft).
19. Remove the rear bench seat.
20. Install the floor carpet.
21. Install the interior trim:
a. RH center body pillar inside lower finish panel
b. Rear door scuff plate
c. Liftgate opening scuff plate
d. RH quarter trim panel
e. LH quarter trim panel
22. Install the rear bench seat.
23. Use these steps to check the rear seat track adjusting handle effort.
a. Remove the rear seat track adjusting handle.
b. Use a torque wrench to measure the rear seat track adjusting handle effort.

Record the torque value when the seat is first able to move.

Rear seat track adjusting handle effort should be 1-3 Nm (13-34 Lb In).
c. Measure the rear seat track adjusting handle effort at all five locking positions.
24. If the rear seat track adjusting handle effort is not within specification, adjust the LH rear seat track front-to-rear position.
25. Check the rear seat track adjusting effort of the rear bench seat.
Maximum Adjusting Effort = 98 N (22 lbs)

Use a force gauge (spring scale) to measure the backward adjusting effort at the front four rear bench seat positions.

After adjusting efforts have been measured, slide the rear bench seat the full length of the tracks five times. If at any time the seat binds, stop
and measure the adjusting effort at that location.
NOTE: The rear seat back latch cable on the rear bench seat may need adjustment. Refer to the adjustment procedure. See: Adjustments
26. If the rear bench seat does not slide smoothly, adjust the LH rear seat track side-to-side position.
NOTE: Adjust the LH rear seat track only.
27. Install the center seat(s).
