6. Pulling on the rope from a distance of 6 m (20 ft.) or more, lift the pretensioner-fitted seatbelt about 20 cm (8 in.) off the floor.
7. Release the rope and the shock of the drop will deploy the pretensioner-fitted seatbelt.

CAUTION: 
1. Deploy after confirming that there is no-one near the pretensioner-fitted seatbelt.
2. Because the cylinder will be hot immediately after pretensioner-fitted seatbelt deployment, leave to stand for 30 min or longer to cool before

handling.

3. If the safety lock lever has not been fully released, or if the cylinder does not go to the bottom when dropped, it may be that the

pretensioner-fitted seatbelt does not deploy.

8. Dispose of the deployed pretensioner-fitted seatbelt in accordance with the Pretensioner-Fitted Seatbelt Disposal Procedures.

Deployed Pretensioner-Fitted Seatbelt Disposal

Before disposing of a pretensioner-fitted seatbelt or a vehicle which is equipped with it, follow the procedures below to deploy the pretensioner-fitted
seatbelt (s).

Dispose of the triggered pretensioner-fitted seatbelt paying close attention to the following.

1. Because the pretensioner cylinder will be hot immediately after deploying the seatbelt pretensioner, leave for 30 min for the cylinder to cool down

before handling.

2. Do not spill water or oil on a deployed pretensioner-filled seatbelt.
3. Because there is a risk that the substances adhering to the deployed pretensioner-fitted seatbelt may irritate the eyes or skin, wear gloves and safety

glasses when handling the deployed pretensioner-fitted seatbelt.

4. Seal the pretensioner-fitted seatbelt tightly in a heavy vinyl bag then dispose.
5. Ensure you wash your hands well after completing the work.
