Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
MB991223: Test Harness Set
MB991502: Scan Tool (MUT-II)
MB991529: Diagnostic Trouble Code Check Harness
STEP 1. Check the door switch.
If the door switch is damaged, replace it.
The driver's and passenger's door switch input signal should be able to be checked and the functions, which are described in the "Technical Description
(comment)," should work normally.
If the driver's door switch is not defective, go to Step 2.
If the passenger's door switch is not defective, go to Step 4.
STEP 2. Check the driver's door switch installation state.
NOTE: The driver's door switch is grounded to the body through the mounting screws.
Remove the cap and measure the resistance between the lower metal part and the ground.

Should be less than 2 Ohms.
If open circuit, check the installation state and repair. The driver's door switch input signal should be able to be checked and the functions, which are
described in the "Technical Description (comment)," should work normally.
If less than 2 Ohms. go to Step 3.
