PROCEDURES
Front Brake Tube Inspection & Alignment (2WD & 4WD)

Measure Clearance
The brake tube should be centered in the grommet. Make sure the tube has at least 6 mm of clearance on any side. A 6 mm diameter bar or rod can
be used to verify the clearance. In addition to the tube being centered in the grommet, it should also be roughly positioned as shown in Figure 1.

lithe clearance is more than 6 mm all around the tube, go to step 3.

lithe clearance is less than 6 mm, proceed with step 2.
2.
Inspect Tube for Damage
Dislodge the grommet from the inner fender and move it upward enough to inspect the tube for damage. A damaged tube will show signs of wear
on the edge of the inner fender pass-through hole (see Figure 2).

If there is no damage, go to step 3.

lithe tube is damaged, proceed with step 4 and replace the tube.
