a. Snap ring removal (5).
INSPECTION
1. Check the flow control valve for clogging.
2. Check the pulley assembly for wear or damage.
3. Check the rotor and vane groove for "stepped" wear.
4. Check the contact surface of cam ring and vanes for "stepped" wear.
5. Check the vanes for damage.
ASSEMBLY
Assembly in reverse order as Disassembly.
NOTE: Assembly service points as follows:
a. Oil seal installation (27).
Required Special Tools:
MB990926: Installer Adapter.
MB990938: Bar (snap-in type) or equivalents.
