NOTE:
Do not remove the power steering oil piping and steering linkage connections.

Move the power steering gear box away from the frame.
6.
Eliminate the gap between the bracket and bolt collar by making a small indentation on the outer bracket as follows. Use the spacer provided in the
kit, one of the original bolts, and one of the original self-locking nuts.
a.
Insert the bolt into the attaching bolt hole at the lower portion of the bracket. Install the spacer on the other side of the bracket and tighten
with the self-locking nut.
b.
Overtighten the self-locking nut to 98 Nm (72 ft/lbs). This will create an indentation on the outer bracket and eliminate the gap.
7.
Remove the bolt, nut and spacer that were installed in Step 6.
NOTE:
Discard the bolt and nut. (They are damaged after the overtightening in Step 6.) Keep the spacer for possible re-use.

Place a straight edge on the side of the bracket.
