ASSEMBLY
Assembly in reverse order as Disassembly.
NOTE: Assembly service points as follows:
A. Snap ring installation. (8)
Required Special Tool or equivalent:
MD998921: Spring Compressor.
CAUTION: Do not align the end gap of the snap ring with the stopper of the spring seat, or the snap ring may break, causing severe internal
damage.
B. Cushion plate installation. (7)
Install the cushion plate to the forward clutch drum so that its convex side is oriented to the piston side.
C. Clutch flange installation. (4)
Install the clutch flange to the forward clutch drum with flat side up.
D. Snap ring installation. (3)
Install the snap ring so that the end gap of the snap ring is not aligned with the inner cutout of the direct clutch drum.
