MB990936: Installation Adapter.
MB990937: Installation Adapter.
MB990938: Bar.
B. Drive pinion front bearing outer race press-fitting. (3)
Required Special Tools or equivalents:
MB990934: Installation Adapter.
MB990938: Bar.
C. Drive pinion height adjustment. (-)
Required Special Tools or equivalents:
MB990326: Preload Socket.
MB990728: Bearing Installer.
MB990819: Drive Pinion Gauge.
MB991169: Drive Pinion Gauge Attachment.
MB991170: Cylinder Gauge.
Adjust the drive pinion height by the following procedures:
1. Apply multipurpose grease to the washer of special tool MB990819.
2. Install special tool MB990819 and drive pinion front and rear bearing inner races to the gear carrier in the sequence shown in the
illustration.
NOTE: For vehicles with 6G72, use special tool MB991169.
