Using the other hand, slowly insert the radio, using the hand below to guide the rear radio nipple into the rear radio support bracket.

Insert radio straight in until radio side clips touch opening for radio.

Push radio in one side at a time.  Do not force it.  If problems are encountered, pull radio out and reposition wiring so that it does not interfere with
rear radio mounting nipple.

15.

Position wiring under radio so that it does not contact the shift rod (5-speed). Use a wire tie if necessary.

16.

Reinstall storage box below radio.

17.

Place shift lever in "Neutral" (Manual) or "Park" (Automatic).

18.

Turn ignition on to "accessory" position and turn radio on:

A.

Check if power antenna goes up, pull up manual antenna

B.

Turn fader to front speaker position

C.

Turn balance left/right to check front speakers

D.

Turn fader to rear speaker position (if installed)

E.

Turn balance left/right to check rear speakers (if installed)

405 Manual Antenna Installation Instructions

1.

Remove factory plug from fender

2.

Remove antenna "keys," place on customer's key ring

3.

Remove spanner nut

4.

Remove grommet and separate into "inner" and "outer" halves

5.

Substantially loosen bolt "A"

6.

Reinstall "inner" grommet onto antenna housing and place antenna into hole in quarter panel

7.

Place "outer" grommet and spanner nut on top of antenna and tighten spanner nut for a water-tight seal

CAUTION: THIS OPERATION ALIGNS ANTENNA PROPERLY TO BODY. DO NOT TRY TO ALIGN USING ANTENNA SUPPORT

BRACKET.

8.

Install bottom of antenna support bracket into threaded hole in body using a 6mm bolt (10mm long) (this bolt is not supplied with the antenna)

9.

Retighten bolt "A"

Connect antenna cable

11.

Wire tie (or tape) power antenna connector lead to antenna cable

12.

Check radio reception on known weak AM station with antenna fully extended
