LOWER ENGINE MOUNT REPLACEMENT
MODELS:
ALL 405 VEHICLES
Some cases of deterioration of the lower engine mount bushing have been reported in vehicles subjected to severe operating conditions. It is now
possible to replace the bushing (p/n 1809.21) without replacing the entire lower motor mount assembly.
TOOLING:
Replacement of the bushing in the lower motor mount requires the use of tool kit number 7.0175. This tool can be purchased through the Parts
Department under part number 9769.50, or can be obtained through our Tool Loaner Program. The kit consists of an abutment sleeve (1), # 7.0175A,
and a bushing extraction/installation tool (2), # 7.0175B.
PROCEDURE:
Remove the lower engine mount. This requires removal of the right side half shaft (see mechanical workshop manual, section 4, pages C4.002 and
C4.003).
BUSHING REMOVAL:

Place the abutment sleeve (1) on a hydraulic press table with the large diameter opening up

Position the motor mount assembly on top of the sleeve as shown
