Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension

1.

With vehicle standing on ground, remove shock attaching nut from shock in engine compartment.

2.

Raise and support vehicle.

3.

Remove shock attaching bolt and nut from trailing arm.

4.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following: 

a. Install shock absorber in shock tower and torque attaching nut to 18.1 ft.lbs.
b. Tension trailing arm and extend shock absorber to install attaching nut and bolt, torquing to 90 ft.lbs.
