Clutch Linkage: Adjustments

Checking Clutch Play

NOTE:  The clutch play cannot be checked at the clutch pedal because of the automatic hydraulic clutch adjustment on the release lever.
Consequently the clutch play must be checked on the positioning lever, which fits on the spline of the release shaft.

Check whether clutch cable is tight (then the release lever will just be lifted off of the console stop in engaged state).

If cable is tight enough, check clutch play with a feeler gage blade and, if necessary, correct to 1.0 + 0.1 mm with the adjusting screw.

NOTE:  Make basic adjustment if cable is loose (after settling).

Disconnect clutch cable or loosen fully on holder.
