Drive bushings into transmission front cover with special tool P 363 making sure that they are properly positioned and fully in. The milled ends of
the oil pockets must point towards the pressure chamber or oil pump gears, respectively. See illustration for exact location.

Install gaskets in same thickness as noted during disassembly.

Install oil pump cover and tighten self-locking nuts cross-wise.

Tighten to: 9 Nm (6.6 ft lb)

Keep checking if the pump gears remain free. If necessary remove cover again and insert gaskets as appropriate.

Torque plug of pressure relief valve to: 22-25 Nm (16.2-18.4 ft lb)
NOTE: End play of oil pump gears should be 0.05 mm.

Lightly oil the O-ring for pickup tube.

Install Allen bolts for pickup tube, using new lock washers.
^
Torque to: 8-9 Nm (5.9-6.6 ft lb)
