ATTENTION: Service Manager / Service Technician

Models Affected: 

911 Carrera, 911 Targa and 911 Turbo as of Model Year 1996

Concern: 

Installation of the CDC-3 CD changer into vehicles equipped with Porsche CR-210 or CDR-210 radios.

Installation: 

CDC-3 CHANGER INSTALLATION

Set the CD changer mounting knobs to the vertical position and install the changer into the mounting frame.

Remove the luggage compartment carpet and disconnect the battery.

Loosen the cable harness on the left frame rail and move the harness out of the way of the CD changer mount.

Locate the CD changer on the frame rail approximately 85 mm from the cover for the front lid lock and mark the 4 mounting holes (Figure 1).

Drill the 4 mounting holes with a 9 mm drill and install the 4 nutserts.
