Removing and installing pulley

Preliminary work for 997 Turbo/GT2

1. Remove pressure pipe.
2. Remove air cleaner housing.
3. Remove rear apron.
4. Remove rear silencer.

Only use tools approved by Porsche.

Always ensure that the tool is seated correctly.

Protect the body and interior of the vehicle from damage with protective covers.

Cover delicate components with cardboard or sheetmetal panels.

1. Remove steel crankshaft pulley.
1.1.

Loosen and unscrew M14 hexagon-head bolt. Counter with a holding wrench 9548.

Get another person to help you do this because of the high loosening forces required.
