Using tools on steel pulley
1.2.
Loosen pulley -1- from the crankshaft flange and remove it.
1.3.
Replace bolt and friction plate.
2. Check crankshaft flange, dowel pin and fitting bore for damage.

Clean and remove all grease from the crankshaft flange.

Only use tools approved by Porsche.

Always ensure that the tool is seated correctly.

Protect the body and interior of the vehicle from damage with protective covers.

Cover delicate components with cardboard or sheetmetal panels.
1. Install steel crankshaft pulley.
1.1.
Use a new bolt and a new friction plate.
1.2.
Fit pulley -1- with friction plate onto the crankshaft flange. Check installation position of the dowel pin.
1.3.
Fit and tighten a new M14 hexagon-head bolt.
1.4.
Holding wrench 9548 must be positioned on the pulley for countering purposes.
1.5.
Tighten hexagon-head bolt.
Get another person to help you do this because of the high tightening torque required.

Tightening torque: 170 Nm (126 ftlb.)

Tightening torque: 250 Nm (185 ftlb.)
