Removing remaining oil from oil-filter housing

Installing oil filter

1. Fit the oil filter. To do this, use the special tool oil filter spanner 9204 and tighten the oil filter cover to the specified torque. - Tightening torque:

25 Nm (19 ftlb.).

Information
Use only engine oils tested and approved by Porsche AG.

Dispose of waste oil in accordance with legal requirements in your country.

1. Slowly pour new engine oil into the oil tank via the oil filler neck.

Caution
Incorrect oil level

Damage to engine and catalytic converter.

Always observe specification for oil fill quantities.

Information

This cannot be checked with the oil dipstick.
The vehicle must be horizontal.
The engine must be idling and at operating temperature (oil temperature gauge) during the check.
The vehicle must not be moved during the check.

2. Check the oil level. Check the oil level on the instrument cluster and correct it if necessary. Three segments must be displayed in the instrument

cluster.
