Convertible Top Deck Lid Seal: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Seal For Convertible Top Compartment Lid

Preliminary work

Remove right and left side trim panels. Refer to Removing and installing side trim panel.

Removing seal for convertible-top compartment lid

1. Move convertible top to position shown in the illustration.

2. Unscrew fixing clip -1- and slightly pull out rubber seal for door -2-.

3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- in area of B-pillar on right and left and gently lift seal for convertible top compartment lid -2-.

4. Remove seal for convertible top compartment lid from the flanges -1- at the side panels -Arrow A-, at the corner pieces -Arrow B- and with the

engine compartment bulkhead -Arrow C-.

INFORMATION:

Before replacing, check the existing seal for signs of damage (areas torn, crushed, etc.). If there are signs of damage, the seal must be replaced.
