5. Loosen the fastening screws on the heat exchanger evenly -8- and pull the heat exchanger down and off.

During this process, both engine oil and coolant will leak out. Collect emerging oil and coolant and dispose of in accordance with legal
requirements.

Oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler)

1 - Oil guide housing

2 - Oil-filter housing

3 - Oil filter

4 - Oil-filter sealing ring

5 - Oil duct adapter (cannot be replaced)

6 - Heat exchanger seal

7 - Oil/coolant heat exchanger

8 - Screw, M6 x 20; self-tapping screws ex-works; metric screws can also be used

6. Remove seals. -6- Clean sealing faces.

Installing oil/coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler)

1. Replace the two sealing rings.
