4. Remove the clutch slave cylinder to the rear -arrow 2- without tilting it. Wipe off any emerging brake fluid with a lint-free cloth.

Installing clutch slave cylinder

Drain the clutch slave cylinder fully before installation. Check the bellows for ingress of fluid and clean with a lint-free cloth if necessary.

Pay attention to the seal on the clutch slave cylinder. This may have been left behind in the clutch slave cylinder during removal.

During installation, do not bend the pushrod of the clutch slave cylinder more than 3° from the installation position. Greater deflections of the
pushrod can damage the clutch slave cylinder.

Make sure the clutch slave cylinder is positioned correctly during installation.

^

Check that the pushrod of the clutch slave cylinder is definitely centered in the release lever.
