7. Using Universal wheel-hub extractor 87-1, push out pegs of drive shaft.
8. Remove previously fitted tie-wrap. Carefully pull out the drive shaft to be replaced.

Installation 

Note!

Screws are Dacromet-coated and must not be greased.

Grease axle nut with a little Optimol TA aluminum paste only at mounting-face ring.

Grease the toothing of the drive shaft with Optimol TA aluminum paste.

The drive shafts must not be allowed to hang at joint stops (by own weight). This results in a risk of damage. Secure drive shafts with tie-wrap at a
suitable place.

In order to prevent damage to the drive shaft, suspension subframe or transmission flange, a protective tube -B- should be pulled over the drive
shaft or the drive shaft should be secured.

Use new screws and fastening nuts.

Use correct tightening torques.

1. Insert drive shaft and grease mounting-face ring of axle nut with a little Optimoly TA aluminum paste. Screw on axle nut in order to prevent shaft

from slipping out. If it is not possible to push shaft in all the way, use assembly fixture T10206 to pull drive shaft in. Use protection for drive shaft.
Tie up drive shaft with a tie-wrap. This will prevent damage to the drive shaft, suspension subframe or transmission flange.

2. Push in rear final drive. Connect vent hose.
3. Mount rear muffler of exhaust system.
4. Mount wheel and tighten axle nut (vehicle on ground, also operate the brake - 2 workers required).
