Important notes
Rear brake cable -E- means: from the deflector under the center console -D- to the Quickfit lock in the brake drum on the rear wheel.
Component arrangement - foot-operated parking brake
Information
When performing various tasks on the rear axle, e.g. removing and installing the wheel bearing housing, the brake cable only needs to be detached
without removing the entire brake cable.
Removing brake cable for foot-operated parking brake (rear)
1. Move control pedal of the foot-operated parking brake to the zero position. To do this, pull the release lever on the dashboard.
2. Remove cover in the footwell.
3. Fix the adjustment device using an auxiliary pin (max. 3.5 mm in [diameter]) -see figure-. In other words: press the adjustment device together
-arrow- until the assembly bores are covered and the auxiliary pin can be inserted. The cover on the actuating mechanism does not need to be
removed. The auxiliary pin can be inserted through the cover.

4. Remove center console.
5. Raise the vehicle.
6. Remove the relevant rear wheel.
7. Pull the balancing clip of the deflector completely back, against the direction of travel, and loosen the small fastening screw.
