Rear Knuckle Alignment Link: Service and Repair

Removing and installing rear tie rod (toe control arm)

Preliminary work

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel.

1. Remove toe control arm -1- on the wheel bearing housing -1b-.

Use the press-out tool 9560 for pressing out the ball joint. When loosening the lock nuts, counter at the wheel bearing housing -1b- with a
screwdriver 9546 (Torx screwdriver) at the ball-joint pin.

2. Remove toe eccentric threaded joint on the rear-axle carrier side section. Mark the basic position of the toe eccentrics on the rear-axle carrier side

section.
