Removing And Installing Upper Part Of Front Lid Lock

Technical values

Removing upper part of front lid lock

1. Open front lid.

2. Screw off fastening nuts -1- .
3. Remove upper part of lid lock -2- .

Installing upper part of front lid lock

INFORMATION:  The self-locking nuts must always be replaced.

1. Roughly position upper part of lid lock -2- .
2. Screw on fastening nuts -1- but do not tighten them.

3. Lower the lid slowly until the bar -1- for the upper part of the lock is touching the lower part of the lock.

3.1. The bar -1- must be centered flush with the slit -2- in the lower part of the lock.

4. Open the lid again.
5. Tighten fastening nuts to the specified tightening torque

Tightening torque: 9.7 Nm (7.5 ftlb.).
