Subsequent closing of the open aperture will, after a short delay fully arm the alarm and the warning indicator 10 second flash will occur - together with another CDL lock pulse to ensure all doors are secure.
Perimetric system functionality
Once the alarm system is armed, the vehicle horn will sound for a period of 30 seconds, if any of the following conditions are detected:
- driver’s door is unlocked using the key;
- the boot is opened;
- the bonnet release mechanism is activated;
- the ignition is switched on;
- raising a driver’s sill button (models with CDL).
NOTE: The alarm will sound if the taildoor or passenger door is opened with the key, whilst the alarm is armed.
Once the alarm is sounding, it can only be silenced by disarming the alarm. If the alarm is not disarmed within the 30 seconds period, the alarm ECU memorises the intrusion. When the vehicle is subsequently disarmed, the alarm warning indicator will flash rapidly until the ignition is switched on or the alarm is armed again.
The alarm is disarmed by pressing the handset button at which point the warning indicator will cease flashing and the CDL will unlock.
Tamper protection (CDL models only)
To prevent attempts of unauthorised entry by tampering with the driver’s door lock, raising the driver’s door lock button or tampering with the actuator switch wires will trigger the alarm.
Vehicle battery
Always disarm the alarm BEFORE the battery terminals are disconnected. Failure to do this will result in the alarm sounding as soon as the battery is reconnected.
